Florence “Maxine” Sisemore 91, passed away on November 30, 2020. A private family visitation will be 10:00 am Monday, December 7, 2020 at Bruce Funeral Home, 106 S. Center, Gardner, KS. (913) 856-7111. A private family graveside service will follow at 11:00 am at Gardner Cemetery, Gardner, KS.Memorial contributions may be made to Olathe Hospice. Condolences may be left at www.brucefuneralhome.com. Maxine was born on September 7, 1929 in Sedalia, MO to parents Sperlin and Missouri Florence Raines. She was married 55 years to Command Sgt. Major Oscar Sisemore until his death in 2002. She was a military wife for 24 ½ years and the President of the NCO Wives Club. They settled down in Gardner in 1963. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family, grandkids, cats and the summer sun! She will be missed! Maxine was preceded in death by her parents: Sperlin and Missouri Raines; her husband, Oscar Sisemore; two brothers: Newton Raines and Jack Jeffries; four sisters: Edna Johnson, Rosella DeLapp, Anna May Roberts, Marian Robbins; son-in-law, Bill Sharp; Sister and Brother-in-law, Glen and Jessie Lollis. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Sharp, Lawson, MO; son, Ike Sisemore and wife Cookie, Spring Hill, KS; four grandchildren: Stephanie Liebig and husband Steve, Gardner, KS, Kerri Sharp, Lawson, MO, Mark Sisemore and wife Amanda, Basehor, KS, Dale Sharp and wife Tayarra, Lawson, MO; eight great-grandchildren: Betsey, Zack, Connor, Wyatt, Waylon, Weston, Haleigh and Sarah; niece and nephew, Mike and Debbie Gardner, Gardner, KS and great nephew, Jim Paulsen, Gardner, KS.
