Myrtle McCoy White, 91, of Warm Springs, GA, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the Warm Springs Nursing Home, Warm Springs, GA. Funeral services for Mrs. White will be 11:00 am Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home, Manchester, with burial in the Meriwether Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Friday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. White was born August 14, 1924 in Warm Springs, GA, the daughter of John Robert McCoy and Sarah Frances Buchanan McCoy. She was a retired licensed practical nurse at the Georgia Warm Springs Foundation in Warm Springs for almost 50 years. She was a former city council member for the City of Warm Springs and she graduated from Manchester High School. She was a lifelong resident of Warm Springs, GA. She is survived by her husband Brother Ed White of Warm Springs; daughter Marie Martin Melle of Warm Springs; and son Roger White and his wife Jan of Auburn, GA. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Myrtle McCoy White to the Mt. Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Fund. Cox Funeral Home, Manchester in charge of the arrangements.
