Charles Glen Hendrix Charles Glen Hendrix, 66, of Hamilton, died Friday, February 5, 2010 at Columbus Hospice. Funeral services were 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Pine Mountain Valley First Baptist Church with Bro. Gene Rosinbaum officiating, assisted by Bro. Mike Sellers, Bro. Mike Brandenburg and Bro. Aaron McCullough. Interment was in the church cemetery with Ronald Hendrix, Raymond Hendrix, G. W. McDowell, Ken McDowell, Hub Davis, Larry Prestridge and Larry Elliott serving as pallbearers. Mr. Hendrix was born November 8, 1943 in Carrollton, GA the son of Render G. Hendrix and Alice Crowder Hendrix he was a retired staff manager for American General Life Insurance Co. and was the former pastor of Beech Springs Baptist Church in Pine Mountain. Mr. Hendrix began his ministry as an evangelist and spent much of his time witnessing at the Harris County Prison. He was a United States Army veteran and was a member of Pine Mountain Valley First Baptist Church. Mr. Hendrix was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Charles "Bubba" Hendrix and a daughter, Tammy McDowell Hendrix. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Roberson Hendrix of Hamilton; two daughters, Connie Carter and her husband, Joey of Hamilton, Tina Hutcherson and her husband, Jeff of Pine Mountain; a brother, Jack Hendrix of Hamilton; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
