Christina Garcia Madrid, 83, of Coolidge passed to eternal life on November 29th, 2020 in Gilbert, AZ. Christina was born to Antonio Garcia and Celestina Reyes in Eloy, AZ. on June 14th, 1937. She was raised primarily in Coolidge. She absolutely loved her husband, Manuel. For a short time after they were first married, they lived in Morton, Texas. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and a homemaker. She enjoyed taking care of the elderly neighbors. She enjoyed being outside and gardening. She loved spending time with grandchildren and other family at gatherings at their home. She loved to cook and there was never a Thanksgiving dinner missed. Left behind to cherish her memories are her husband of 66 years, Manuel A. Madrid, Sr.; children, Emma Licano, Irma Waskom, Jose Angel Madrid, Hector Madrid, Gloria Provencio; siblings, Consuelo Garcia, Rachel Torres and Gilbert Zaragoza; 25 Grandchildren, 77 Great Grandchildren, and 12 Great Great Grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her children, Daniel Madrid, Ismael Madrid, Antonio Madrid, Manuel Madrid, Jr.; Siblings, Gloria Regalado, Oscar Garcia, Pedro Zaragoza and Bertha Gomez. A Rosary will be recited at 9:00 A.M. with a Mass celebrated at 9:30 A.M. by Father Abraham Guerrero on Friday, December 4th, 2020 at St. James Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Heritage Valley Memorial Park. Heritage Coolidge Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
