Charlene Hobart, age 77, a resident of Plainfield, IL and formerly a longtime resident of LaGrange, IL, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2020 at Northwestern Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. She was born on January 14, 1943 in Chicago, IL. Charlene is survived by her loving children, Cindy (Bob) Garbowicz of Port Charlotte, FL and Dennis Hobart of Plainfield, IL; her cherished grandchildren, Kandice Hobart, Michael (Emily) Garbowicz, Zachary Garbowicz, Kelly Hobart and Kevin Hobart and great-grandchildren, Chase and Grayson Garbowicz; as well as her sister-in-law, Judith Fisher and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dennis Hobart, and her parents, Charles and Marie Sievers. Charlene was a loving wife, mom and grandma, and her family gave her the greatest joy in life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 7, 11:00 AM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, corner of Routes 30 & 59, Plainfield. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM that morning. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, IL. CDC guidelines allow for 10 guests and family members in our funeral home at any one point.
