Jim "Blue" Flemming Obituary

Jim “Blue” Flemming, 78, of New London died on Friday, November 27, 2020 at his residence.  He was born on July 14, 1942 in Cleveland, OH to the late Edward and Kay (Kohl) Flemming.   

Jim proudly served his country with the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He was a police officer for the New London Police Department.  He helped build New Horizon.  He was a mechanic at Clark Bros. Garage.  Jim was a member of the American Legion and AAA.  He enjoyed driving race cars and working on them.  He attended county fairs, every chance he could.  He loved country and western movies especially John Wayne.  Jim was an all-around family man; he especially loved his grandkids and his dogs.   

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Avery Mann) Flemming; children, James (Ronda) Flemming, Brian (Melissa) Wildman, James (Ronda) Flemming, Marjory Flemming and Darlene Flemming; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Thomas, Richard, John Flemming; sisters, Cathy and Mary.    

Jim will be interred at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.  Eastman Funeral Home, New London, Ohio assisted the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be shared at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
