<p>Dale L. Davidson Sr. age 74, passed away November 30, 2020 at his home surrounded by family. Memorial service will be held Friday, June 18, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. outside on the church lawn at United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND. Visitation will be one hour before one hour before the time of the service. The family requests you bring umbrellas and lawn chairs. Graveside service will be held Sunday June 20, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bethel Lutheran Cemetery, Sisseton, SD. Fellowship will follow the graveside service at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 321 7th Ave E, Sisseton, SD. Memorials can be directed to the American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society, or Hospice of the Red River Valley.</p> <p>Dale was born August 15, 1946 in Sisseton, SD to Leonard and Ida (Gilbertson) Davidson. He grew up on the family farm in the hills of Sisseton, SD. He attended One Road township country school through 8th grade and graduated from Peever, SD High School in 1964. Dale married his high school sweetheart Patty (Crooks) on March 16, 1968 at Peever United Methodist Church. He served in the Army from 1968-1970. After basic training he served in Germany with the rank of specialist, where Dale Jr. and Patty were able to join him. Dale and Patty&rsquo;s first home was in Waubun, MN.</p> <p>Dale worked in the grocery business for forty plus years in Williston, Crosby, Ortonville, MN and Cavalier. He was custodian at the Clinic in Cavalier and after retiring became custodian at the following churches: Evangelical Free, Cavalier Baptist, St. Brigid&rsquo;s Catholic, United Methodist and United Lutheran (where he was a member).</p> <p>His hobbies and interests included; Gardening, woodworking, splitting wood, listening to music, playing cards, visiting family and coffee with the guys and round table discussions with the flower shop girls.</p> <p>Dale was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. He loved to laugh, joke, get to know and help people in his own unique way.&nbsp; He was kind, loving and gentle hearted.</p> <p>Dale is survived by his wife Patricia; Sons: Dale &amp; Jodi (LeTexier), Chris &amp; Penny (Pewe), Daughter: Stephanie (Davidson) &amp; Robert Bill. Grandchildren: Brandon Davidson, Mason, Carter, Emily and Lily Bill.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by: Leonard &amp; Ida Davidson (parents), Melvin &amp; Beatrice Crooks (father and mother-in-law), Irvin Davidson (brother), Carol Davidson, Kathy Reyelts, Norma Davidson (sister-in-laws); Harold Froidevaux, Dick Lehrke (brother-in-laws).</p> <p>We ask that you take a moment to think of one way Dale made you laugh or smile and share that memory with someone else.</p>

Dale was born August 15, 1946 in Sisseton, SD to Leonard and Ida (Gilbertson) Davidson. He grew up on the family farm in the hills of Sisseton, SD. He attended One Road township country school through 8th grade and graduated from Peever, SD High School in 1964. Dale married his high school sweetheart Patty (Crooks) on March 16, 1968 at Peever United Methodist Church. He served in the Army from 1968-1970. After basic training he served in Germany with the rank of specialist, where Dale Jr. and Patty were able to join him. Dale and Patty’s first home was in Waubun, MN.

Dale worked in the grocery business for forty plus years in Williston, Crosby, Ortonville, MN and Cavalier. Dale was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. He loved to laugh, joke, get to know and help people in his own unique way.  He was kind, loving and gentle hearted.

Dale is survived by his wife Patricia; Sons: Dale & Jodi (LeTexier), Chris & Penny (Pewe), Daughter: Stephanie (Davidson) & Robert Bill. Grandchildren: Brandon Davidson, Mason, Carter, Emily and Lily Bill.

He was preceded in death by: Leonard & Ida Davidson (parents), Melvin & Beatrice Crooks (father and mother-in-law), Irvin Davidson (brother), Carol Davidson, Kathy Reyelts, Norma Davidson (sister-in-laws); Harold Froidevaux, Dick Lehrke (brother-in-laws).
