<p>Hamilton- Joanna “Jo” Eckhardt, 86, of Hamilton left this earth to spread her wings and fly on November 29th, 2020. She was born August 21, 1934 in North Hollywood, California to the late Arthur Jasper Azbill and Mary Ellender Burris. </p> <p>Jo met Donald Leroy Sr and they were married in September 1953. Jo and Don made life together in California where they were blessed with two boys Donald Leroy Jr and Clinton James. Jo was the matriarch of the family as a homemaker keeping the family running. Jo was well known for her baking skills her cheesecake was “almost famous”. In the 80s Don and Jo moved to Montana to retire and enjoy the beautiful Bitterroot Valley.</p> <p>Jo was multitalented. She enjoyed sharing her paintings, leather work, cooking, baking and just spending time visiting with her love ones and many friends. </p> <p>Jo was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Rubin, Betty and Ellen as well as her loving husband Don.</p> <p>Jo is survived by her sons Donald Jr(Lori) and Clinton. Grandchildren LaDawn(Eric), Stacey(Duane), Casey, Leslie(Craig), Donald III, Ashlee(Casey), Ashley, Justin and Jared. Great grandchildren Walker, Hunter, Justin, Cody, Drake, Alanna, Zack, Quinton, Gage, Kallie, Aidan, Karsen, Madysen, Bradyn, Evrick, and Emma.</p> <p>Jo was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and will be missed by all that had the privilege of knowing and loving her.</p> <p>A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the Daly-Leach Chapel followed by a celebration of life service starting at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton.</p> <p>Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com. </p>Obituary
