Shirley Ann Smith “Momma” was born on March 20, 1955, to the late Willie George City and Ola Lee Wiedmon In Las Vegas, Nevada. She was the big sister to the late Willie City and Victor King. Shirley attended Valley High School. She obtained employment in the hospitality and room service industry. She worked as a teacher at the Culinary Institute until her retirement in 2018. Her family loved her dearly. She was a great cook, and she enjoyed eating good food as well. Shirley loved to be surrounded by her friends and family, in whom she continually showed unselfish love and support. At her core, what will always be admired most about Shirley was her resilient strength and the fact that she never complained. Her perseverance was long-lasting. Shirley was an active member of Life Changers Worship Center, under the leadership of Pastor Rodger E. Gardner. She was faithful to the ministry. Always ensuring that her children and grandchildren attended and participated. In her pastime, she served diligently as Usher Board President, a member of The Pearls of Wisdom Women’s Ministry, as well as a member of the Pastoral Council. Because of her beautiful spirit, Shirley made many friends who could attest to her calm temperament and sweet nature. She was affectionately known as “Momma Shirley”. On Tuesday, November 24, 2020, Shirley went to be with the Lord. She was proceeded in death by her father, Willie George City, brother, Willie City, son, Artie City, and a granddaughter, Lameia Jamerson. Shirley Ann Smith leaves to cherish her memories her four daughters: Tamia City, Lacarra Riley, Crystal Riley and Lakeiwa (Vincent) Johnson, brother, Victor (Tongela) King, beloved grandchildren: Michael Jamerson, Mikkeya Hornsby, Keiyouna Jamerson, Meesha Johnson, Keondre City, Teyawn Davis, Andre City, Artie City, Antonieyo City, Na’Breyona Chavez, Natorri Evans, Lazaro Gonzalez, Adohnis Gonzalez, Mikal, Marcos, Zavion Riley, Ajianna Riley, Naomi Johnson and Jonah Johnson, 27 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, LCWC church family and friends. Shirley Ann Smith, you will forever live in our hearts. You will be remembered for the love you had for your family and friends.
