Agnes J. Schendel, 74, of Helena, Montana passed away Monday, November 30, 2020. Aggie passed away of complications from Covid-19 at her nursing home in Helena. She was born May 9, 1946 to Frank and Anne Fenwick in Billings, Montana. Her family has a small farm outside of Huntley, Montana and she spoke of it fondly. Her father later got a job with the railroad and moved to Laurel, Montana where she graduated high school. She married Bill Schendel. When Bill finished his degree in Veterinary Medicine they moved back to his hometown of White Sulphur Springs, Montana. While in White Sulphur she was a member of Yoked Parish. She loved hosting and attending parties, especially the Halloween costume balls. She enjoyed many things, from playing cards with her many friends (especially Bridge) and having coffee and good visits with them to voraciously reading. She suffered from mental illness and it took a toll on her health and marriage. After her divorce she moved to Billings and later to Helena. Aggie had a wonderful smile and joyful laugh. She is survived by her three children: Carrie Wildcat and husband Michael, Cathy Nielsen and husband Chris and Nathan Schendel; six grandchildren: Kasara Deal, Caleb Rooney, Charlie Rooney, James Wildcat, Christian Nielsen and Brady Schendel and three great grandchildren; two brothers:; Philip Fenwick and Donald Fenwick, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Anne Fenwick; brothers Bill Fenwick, Walter Fenwick and David Fenwick and sister Anne Fenwick. Aggie will be missed for her joyful personality and ability to make her friends smile. We hope she will rest in peace. Arrangements for services are sill being planned. Simple Cremation Montana has assisted the family.
