Louis J. Philistine

Louis J. Philistine was born on February 15, 1954 in Reading, PA. to the late Samuel and Anna Philistine. Raised and resided in Reading, PA. until he later moved to Florida with his Mother. He became an extraordinary colorist at the age of sixteen years old and later became a world known Cosmetologist owning several hair salons throughout Reading PA. and Florida. Louis is the owner and founder of the current "Lou Michaels Salon on Central Ave." where he worked closely with his staff, Leslie, Whitney and Tammy. I must say, after being a part of the hair industry for 50 years, you will be missed by us all who admired and loved you so much. You gave your all to your clientele, staff, friends and family. Lou was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Anna Philistine and his brother, Samuel Philistine, Jr. He leaves to remember the joyous memories of his life... sisters, Rose S. Hoyer and Joanne Schmitz; nephews, Michael Philistine, Scott Philistine, Joseph Kindl, Robert Schmitz and Thomas Schmitz; nieces, Robin Reedy, Lori Caliguri, Ann Miller, Joellen Longenecker and Susan Schmitz; great-nephews, Josh Haller, Timothy Miller and Sean Miller; loyal and trusted best friend, Patricia Cooper and a host of great friends, clientele and family. The care of Louis and his family has been entrusted to David C. Gross Funeral Home in St. Petersburg.
