Roy Bailey Trotman

Roy B. “Robbie” Trotman, Jr., 63, of Jacksonville, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center Riverside in Jacksonville following an extended illness. Born in St. Augustine, Roy graduated from Palatka South High School in 1974. Started his work career at Winn Dixie in Palatka. Later, Roy moved to Jacksonville and attended the University of North Florida where he received his Bachelors’ Degree in Business in 1980. Roy became a sales representative for Georgia Pacific, he covered North Florida and South Georgia. Following his tenure with Georgia Pacific, he worked with Graybar and later the Internal Revenue Service. Roy had many loves. His Catholic faith, Thank You Bernice (Mom) Trotman. His large family and most certainly his friends. Roy is mostly remembered for the of love his blue, 1975 Chevrolet Camaro and enjoying good times with friends and family. Roy attended many car shows throughout the area. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Roy B. Trotman, Sr. Bernice D. Trotman and Michael J. Linder, nephew. Roy is survived by his sisters, Sheri Cobb (Ric) of Ormond Beach and Kelly Linder (Paul) of Jacksonville, his special friend in life, Russell Quinn, niece, Jennifer Linder, nephew, Donald Cobb (Wendy) and great-nephews, Tyler and Trace Cobb.
