<p> Marlene D. Arneson, 78, of Valley City, ND and formerly of Walhalla, ND passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020 at CHI Mercy Hospital in Valley City, ND. A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Highland Holmes Cemetery, Jamestown, ND. Masks and social distancing is required.</p> <p> Marlene was born September 3, 1942 to Orten and Velma (Bjornstad) Halverson. She grew up at Walhalla and graduated from Walhalla High School. Marlene then attended North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND. After her marriage to Roger Arneson, they moved to Jamestown, ND. In 1982, they moved to the Halverson family farm near Walhalla. Marlene later attended the Wartburg Theological Seminary. For the past year she has lived in Valley City, to be closer to her son and grandchildren.</p> <p> She is survived by her son, Jim Arneson, Valley City, ND; grandchildren: Danielle (Josh) Brown, Kyle Arneson, Lyndsay Arneson, Ryan Storbeck, and Ashley Storbeck, and her nephew, Mark (Kristina) Halverson.</p> <p> Preceding her in death were her parents; son, John, husband, Roger, and brother, Merald.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>Obituary
