Jimmie Dean Weaver “Jim” passed away on November 26, 2020, in the company of family and friends. Born in Orson, Iowa on November 18, 1937, Jim went into the Navy after graduating from Onawa High School. He rose through the ranks during his twenty years of military service as a computer programmer and retired as a Lieutenant Commander. He went on to work on military contracts in Saudi and retired to the Dominican Republic. Family brought him back to Virginia in 2014 to assist with his care. He lived independently at the Talbot for the last five years, and enjoyed an active life with friends, Juanita, Harold, Ed, Joyce, Frank, June, Robert, Bill and Sam to name a few. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Vern and Ruth Ann Weaver. He is survived by his three sisters, Patsy Seieroe, Janice Gierman, and Georgia Hussing and three children, Jimmie Weaver, Jr., Cindy Black, and Ann Martin. He also has six stepsons who thought the world of him, Harry Nesbitt, Leroy Nesbitt, Dudley Nesbitt, Norbert Sampson, and Booker Sampson. Visitation will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel on Thursday, December 3, 2020, from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. Burial with military honors will take place at Albert G. Horton, Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk on Friday, December 4, 2020, at 10:00. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
