<p>Phyllis M. Barber, 92, formerly of Summit Drive and Bridge Street, Lewistown, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Pleasant View Communities, in Manheim, PA.</p> <p>Born January 20, 1928, in Beaver Springs, she was the daughter of the late Arthur W. and Dorothy I. (Johnson) Ulsh.</p> <p>In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; husband, Kenneth E. Barber, who passed on July 23, 1992; and a brother, James W. Ulsh, who passed in 1956.</p> <p>She is survived by; two children, Pamela M. Moricz and husband, Istvan &lsquo;Steve&rsquo;, of Vero Beach, FL; Kenneth F. Barber and wife Jeanette (Sangrey), of Manheim, PA; four grandchildren, Amy (Moricz) Kelly, Brett Barber and wife, Leah (Rutt), Breanna (Barber) Kauffman and husband, Andrew, and Kelli Barber; two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Alyssa Kelly; and a sister, Helen D. (Ulsh) Moyer.</p> <p>Phyllis was a graduate of Beaver Vocational High School, Class of 1946, in Beaver Springs.</p> <p>She was a former member of St. John&rsquo;s Evangelical Church, Lewistown.</p> <p>She retired from Bell Telephone Company in June 1986, after 20 years of service.</p> <p>Following her childhood at the Ulsh Chicken Hatchery near Beaver Springs, Phyllis enjoyed playing the violin, piano, and organ as well as sewing. Following nurse&#39;s training, she began her 44 years&nbsp;of marriage to Ken. They enjoyed gardening, camping, entertaining, and participating in a lifetime of activities with the Family Circle Class of St. John&#39;s Lutheran Church in Lewistown. She loved family, cooking, baking, needlecrafts, and traveling. Mostly she shared her true gift of selflessly helping and caring for others, and always with a smile. Her retirement years were spent with friends at Pleasant View Communities near Manheim where she was closer to her grandchildren and their activities.</p> <p>A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at Mount Rock Cemetery, with Rev. Allen Hulslander officiating.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Phyllis&rsquo;s memory may be made to: St. John&rsquo;s Lutheran Church, Lewistown or Pleasant View Benevolent Fund, Manheim, PA 17545.</p>

Phyllis M. Barber, 92, formerly of Summit Drive and Bridge Street, Lewistown, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Pleasant View Communities, in Manheim, PA.

Born January 20, 1928, in Beaver Springs, she was the daughter of the late Arthur W. and Dorothy I. (Johnson) Ulsh.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; husband, Kenneth E. Barber, who passed on July 23, 1992; and a brother, James W. Ulsh, who passed in 1956.
