Charles Roger Dies Obituary

Charles Roger Dies, age 71, of Charlotte, went to be with his Lord and Savoir on Friday, November 27, 2020. He was born April 9, 1949, in Charlotte the son of Ernest and Pauline (Lynd) Dies. He graduated from Maple Valley High School with the class of 1967. On May 1, 1971, he married the love of his life, Julia Anne Masters, at the Olivet Congregational Church. Chuck was a very loving man who had a larger than life personality. He had a heart of gold and was always concerned about the needs of others. Chuck had a passion for classic cars, enjoyed listening to Motown music, and was a connoisseur of food. As a young man Chuck enjoyed working on the family farm milking cows and working at Prescott Sales in Vermontville. He later took a job at Owens Illinois in Charlotte and retired after 38 years of service. Chuck is survived by his wife of 49 years, Julia; daughters: Angela (Chad) Blackburn of Bellevue, Brenda Dies of Bellevue; grandchildren: Brianna (Josh) Keson of Bellevue, Wyatt Blackburn of Bellevue, Ty Blackburn of Bellevue; great grandchildren: Madeline and Kimberly Keson of Bellevue; siblings: Dennis (Dottie) Dies of Indian River, Pam (Dennis) Woodworth of Whitmore Lake, Cheryl (Darren) Ayles of Nashville; sister-in-law, Joyce Masters of Charlotte; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Steve, Rod, Bill, and Pat. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 2 P.M. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Jenson officiating.
