Thomas Roy “Tom” Valle went home to be with the Lord at his home in Brooksville, FL on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the age of 75 after battling mesothelioma.
Tom is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Wendy Kehoe Valle; children: Adam Valle (Amy), Lauren Tomas (Joel), and Rebecca McNew (Brett); grandchildren: Benjamin, Elizabeth and Anna Valle, Hannah, Brandon, and Micah Tomas and Juliana & Canaan McNew; siblings: Dan Valle (Petra), Ann Devaney (Joseph), Dave Valle (Kathy), Steve Valle, Jim Valle (Robin), and many other loving relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents Dante & Helen Valle of Yonkers, NY.
Tom was born July 31, 1945 in Yonkers, NY. He was honored to serve in the United States Navy. He also worked as an electrician with General Motors/Saturn, from which he retired after 35 years of employment. Tom was a talented painter, he also enjoyed photography, kayaking the Florida waters, hiking in the Smoky Mountains, and was actively involved in Hope Community Bible Church in Spring Hill, FL. He lived life joyfully and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
A visitation gathering will begin at 10:00am on Friday, December 11, 2020 at the Brooksville Chapel of Merritt Funeral Home located at, 2 South Lemon Avenue in Brooksville, FL. A memorial service will follow at 11:00am, Pastor David Pletincks, Adam Valle, and Reverend Brett McNew will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tom's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hope Community Bible Church Children’s Ministry, 13241 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill, FL 34609 or the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation (www.curemeso.org). Condolences can be left on our tribute wall. The family would like to thank Dr. Korupolu and his staff as well as Dr. Tang and Florida Cancer Specialists for their care during his illness.
A private inurnment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
