 Beloved Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, 97

 

Mr. Stanley Sakowych, 97, of Long Beach Township, NJ, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020.  Visitation will be at the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Wednesday, December 2 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.  A private burial will be held at St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Cemetery, South Canaan, PA.

  

Mr. Sakowych was born in Fell Township, PA and resided in Fairlawn, NJ for 60 years before moving to Long Beach Township, NJ three years ago.  He was employed as an Instrument Maker at Honeywell, Corp., Teterboro for many years before retiring.  He was awarded four Bronze Stars and a Bronze Arrowhead for his service in the United States Army during World War II.

 

He is survived by his beloved children Paula Cofone , and Russel Sakowych and his wife Doreen; his cherished grandchildren Tanya Gaborow and her husband Todd, and Jason Cofone and his wife Solange; and also his precious great-grandchildren Hudson and Asher Cofone.

 

Mr. Sakowych is predeceased by his wife Helen (nee Homisak) Sakowych and his son-in-law Patrick Cofone (October 16, 2020.).

 

Due to COVID-19 Pandemic and occupancy limitations, visitors are asked to pay their respects and then immediately exit in order to allow others the opportunity to enter the funeral home. Visitors are also required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
