Olga M. Rogers Obituary

"Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." 1 Corinthians 13:7 Olga Mitchell Rogers, age 83, passed away November 26, 2020. She died with her daughter, Catherine Hyland and god daughter, Marybeth Roy by her side. Her last day was filled with words of love as her family said goodbye. On a day of thanksgiving, we were all blessed to have been given the gift of saying I love you one last time. The youngest of five, Olga grew up on a farm in hills of Hoosick Falls, NY. At a young age she was recruited to work for the FBI under Kennedy, and worked in D.C. She loved the adventure but missed her hills and family. She returned home to work for McNally’s Insurance Agency where she met the love of her life Martin John Rogers. She and Martin built a successful business, but more importantly they built a home. Family was everything to Olga, and she was happiest when the house was bursting at the seams with family and friends. Many a meal, much laughter, and endless love was shared in her home and around her table. She leaves a legacy of great recipes, great memories, and great love. A graveside service will be held at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Cambridge N.Y. on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, I ask if you would plant in your garden a lilac, gladiola, or poppies. These were Mom’s favorite flowers and when they bloom you will be reminded of the beauty of her love. If you would like to make a donation in Mom's memory, please make those to Bennington Health and Rehabilitation to go towards blankets, coloring books or word searches. Those were some of Mom's favorite things there.
