<p><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;">Rock Hill &ndash; Mr. Roy Arnold Mitchell, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at his home.</span></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;">A Celebration of Life service will be 3:00 pm Thursday, December 3, 2020, at Woodvale Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Collins officiating. Due to the current situation with COVID-19 everyone will be required to wear a mask.&nbsp;The family will receive friends following the services.&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;">A native of Clovis, New Mexico, Mr. Mitchell was a son of the late Joseph Chestly Mitchell and Stella Fry Mitchell. He was a member of Woodvale Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher.&nbsp; He was an Army Veteran who was stationed in Paris, France.&nbsp; He enjoyed working with his computer and playing domino&rsquo;s.&nbsp; He loved spending time with his grandchildren.&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-family:tahoma,geneva,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:16px;">He was survived by his wife of 61 years, Joyce Page Tharrington Mitchell; two daughters, Jennine Hill and her husband, Rusty Hill, and Julie Self and her husband, Rev. Ed Self; four grandchildren, Fallon DeMarco and her husband, Chris, Tyle Self, Paige McCabe and her husband, Rev. Rock Hill – Mr. Roy Arnold Mitchell, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 29, 2020, at his home.
