Velta Mae Smith
<p>Velta Mae Stewart Smith, age 84, born in Stockton, AL and a resident of White House Fork died Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Thomas Hospital. She was a retired cafeteria worker for the Baldwin County Board of Education.</p> <p>She is survived by a son, Jeff (Robin) Smith of White House Fork; a daughter, Arlene (Brent) Bateman of Slidell, LA; six grandchildren, Angela (Chris) Brown, Clenon (Jill) Williams, Kimberly Smith, Crystal (Heath) Lokey, Jennifer Bateman and Blaine Bateman; eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Frank Smith; her parents, Joe E. and Annie Bell Taylor Stewart and a sister, Helen Stewart.</p> <p>Graveside services and burial will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Bay Minette Cemetery with Reverend Clark Beiler and Reverend Fred Stallworth officiating.</p> <p>Pallbearers will be Clenon Williams, Blaine Bateman, Heath Lokey, Billy Weekley, Jessie Peacock and Lydell Johnson.</p>November 3, 1936 - November 28, 202011/03/193611/28/2020

Velta was a dear friend of mine. I am going to miss her. We kept up with each other on Facebook. Loved her. I am sooo very sorry for your loss. She was a fine lady. Prayers.

Mrs. Velta was a sweet precious lady. I so enjoyed knowing her. I never heard her complain about anything. She is now experiencing joy we can only imagine. May the peace of God that passes all understanding surround all her family. Love and prayers.
