Gregory Anthony Sciullo Obituary

Gregory A. Sciullo On Saturday November 28th, 2020, Gregory A. Sciullo, age 64, passed away after a long and arduous battle following a debilitating stroke. True to his tenacious character, he defied medical odds after surviving the initial onslaught. His determination to recover mirrored his life’s journey. It was filled with his strength, persistence, and devoted love for his family. Even though the outcome doesn’t coincide with our efforts, he will always be remembered as our warrior. Our only comfort is knowing that he will be greeted by his greatly missed daughter, Melissa, with open arms, who preceded him in death. His and her honor and legacy will be continued by his dedicated wife, Deborah (Miller), and their children, Heather (Treven) Kraus, and Michael (Andrea) Sciullo. He also leaves behind his heart-broken grandchildren: Jackson, Jameson and McKenzie Kraus, who already show signs of carrying his endearing qualities with them. Although his time with his grandchildren was unfairly cut short, the special greeting he had with Jackson (“Hi ya, Jackson!”), the countless hours playing monster trucks with Jameson, and the special shared birthday with McKenzie will forever be cherished. He was also preceded in death by his in-laws, Jack and Rita Miller, who loved him as their son. The pride he showed in providing for his family carried over into his long term and successful career of 37 years at People’s Natural Gas and Dominion Resources. As he climbed the corporate ladder, his stubborn and detail-oriented personality became embedded into the fibers of their culture. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the North Allegheny Choral Program to continue the scholarship in Melissa’s name. Donations can be made payable to NACPA, and mailed to North Allegheny Senior High School 10375 Perry Highway, Wexford, PA 15090, attn.: David Schmiech. We love you, Greg/Dad/PapPap. And we will continue to “Be Careful” until we can all finally be an unbroken family once again. Friends received Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 9am - 12pm at Simons Funeral Home, www.simonsfuneralhome.com 7720 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 followed by a public memorial service where friends are welcome to share tributes.
