Scammell; John Ross Peacefully at home with his family by his side on Friday November 27, 2020 in his 67th year. Beloved husband of Taralea of Moorefield. Loving father of Vicki (Kevin) Pietz, Jody Hastie, Gregory (Jessica) DeMeuleneare, Amy Hopkins and Geoffrey (Kate) DeMeuleneare. Grandfather of Alyssa, Gavin, Mason, Samuel, Georgia, Ashtyn and Evance. Brother of Robert (Julie) Scammell, Marion (Ron) Mower and Allan (Joy) Scammell. Son of the late Fred and Vera Scammell. John was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to be in his happy place in the BeaverValley or on Georgian Bay. John mostly enjoyed mentoring new outdoorsmen/women and sitting back and watching them get their trophy. We will all miss his smile and laughter and guidance and most of all his Stories that we will all pass along and keep alive for all to enjoy. At John’s request, cremation has taken place.
