Catherine Lee O'Leary (née Rice) of Cherry Hill passed on Thursday, November 26, 2020 to join her late husband William (Bill) O'Leary in eternal bliss. Married for 69 years, Cathy and Bill had all the love in the world for each other and for their family, including their children (the late) Richard (Migdalia), Jeanne (the late Jack Caruso), John (Claudia), Robert (Linda) and Marianne (Mike); grandchildren Allyson, Daniel, Brian, Joseph, Eric, Hillary, John, Shannon and Sean; and great grandchildren Oliviah, Elli, Nora, Richard, Charlie, Calvin and Kieran. Cathy was a force of nature, with a quick wit and an incredible sense of humor. A master of the double entendre, she always had a zinger in her back pocket that was sure to give you a good belly laugh. Whether it was shopping til she dropped or acting as first mate on her and the family's sailing excursions, she enjoyed sharing experiences with those she loved. Cathy was quite an adventurer and was always hopping around the world exploring new places with Bill. She was also fearless and would step in to grab hold of the reigns whenever she was needed. Once during a sailing race in Boston, she took over the boat when a storm hit without hesitation. A strong and resilient class act, she filled her home with warmth and happiness. She was so deeply connected with her children that she could read their minds. She lived by the philosophy that if you're going to do something, you simply must do it right--you wouldn't dare hold a fork the wrong way or even wear jeans with holes in her presence. Cathy spoke her mind, and often said all she needed to with an unmistakable, unforgettable look (yes, we all know that look). She leaves behind quite the legacy--and a very cherished secret stuffing recipe--for her family to continue passing on. Cathy was our golden girl. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
