Katherine (Kathy) Alexander a resident of Rutland died unexpectedly on November 27, 2020 at the Community Health Center in Rutland. She was born on February 15, 1969 in Rutland, the daughter of Gordon and Mae (Pitts) Alexander. Kathy loved life, she enjoyed being outdoors, the ocean, doing crafts, and spending time with her grandchildren. Kathy is survived by her loving family which include her soulmate Rebecca Derepentigny of Rutland Vermont, 5 loving children; Bethany Ann Marie Barbour (Travis) of Rutland, Ashley Smith of Toccoa Georgia, Cassandra Thompson (Matt) of Rutland Vermont, Joshua Thompson of Wilmington Vermont, Eric Barber (Jessica) of Rutland Vermont; her brothers and sisters, Stella Alexander (Malcom), Gordon Alexander Jr. (Delores), Peter Alexander (Roni) of Rutland Vermont, David Alexander of Rutland, Wanda Derby, Andrew Derby both of North Clarendon Vermont, step sisters, Nancy Majka (Jeff) of Shrewsbury Vermont and Helen Hewitt of Rutland Vermont, and one uncle, Ronald "Ronnie" Pitts, of North Clarendon. Kathy will be missed greatly by her extended family of several nieces, nephews and cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her father Gordon Alexander Sr.; mother, Mae Derby; grandfather, Reginald Pitts; grandmother, Myrta "Birdie" Pitts; and an uncle, William (Bill) Pitts. Due to COVID, a service is pending at a later date.
