<p><span style="font-size:16px;">&nbsp;John A. Zanger, 72, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, November 27, 2020 at MHP Medical Center.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">&nbsp; He was born August 4, 1948 in Shelbyville to George Zanger and Daisy (McCain) Zanger.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">&nbsp; John attended Shelbyville High School.&nbsp; He retired from Heritage Transport after 22 years of service. John received the Million Mile Award for no accidents while he was working at Heritage Transport.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">&nbsp; He was a member of the American Legion Post 70 for 36 years. He was also a member of the Eagles in Rushville.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">&nbsp; He enjoyed his time camping down at his camper in Arlington.&nbsp; He loved to play cards and catch up with the boys at the legion.&nbsp; He cherished the times he was able to spend with his grandchildren.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">&nbsp;John and the love of his life, Melody (Snapp) Zanger have shared their lives together since 1978 and were married February 14, 1986.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">&nbsp; John is survived by his wife, his daughter, Amy (husband, Carl) Walton, of Fairland, sisters, June Smith of Greensburg, Mary (husband, Gene) Morrison, of KY; Sherry (husband, Larry) Burton; Margie (husband, David) Kuhn, and Verna Ratliff; his brother, Clarence (wife, Mary) Zanger; all of Shelbyville; and his beloved dog, Beau.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">&nbsp; He was preceded in death by his parents, and 8 half brothers and sisters in Michigan.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">&nbsp; Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">&nbsp;&nbsp;Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve John&rsquo;s family.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:16px;">&nbsp;Online condolences may be shared at www.murphyparks.com.</span></p>

 John A. Zanger, 72, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, November 27, 2020 at MHP Medical Center.

  He was born August 4, 1948 in Shelbyville to George Zanger and Daisy (McCain) Zanger.
