Viva Drummond

Scharlene Drummond, 92, of Maryville, Missouri passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Parkdale Manor, where she has been a resident for four years. Scharlene was born on October 23, 1928 in Shambaugh, Iowa to Chalmers and Zoolene (Macrander) Kelley. She was a 1946 graduate of the Westboro High School in Westboro, Missouri. She was a homemaker, member of the First Baptist Church in Tarkio, Missouri, the Lone Star Club and she enjoyed going to flee markets to add to their collectables. Scharlene married Robert P. Drummond on January 10, 1947 in Maryville, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 2, 2012. She was also preceded by her parents, son, Bobby Joe Drummond, two sisters, Sharon McEnaney, Betty Ellsion and brother, Duane Kelley and a grandson, Kyle James. Survivors include her children, Linda Hanks, Springfield, Missouri, Mary (John) Strauch, Westboro, Missouri and Donnie (Denise) Drummond, Burlington Junction, Missouri; six grandchildren, Matt Strauch, Maryville, Missouri, Katherine (Jeff) Littlejohn, Kansas City, Missouri, Shane Jackson, Springfield, Missouri, Shelly (Steven) Marriott, Clearmont, Missouri, Nathan (Crissy) Drummond, Fairfax, Missouri, Jason James, Springfield, Missouri and ten great-grandchildren, Sydney and Savanna Marriott, Dalaynie, Dylan, and Damon Drummond, Carter, Kennedy and Pierce Strauch, Kendra and Joe Littlejohn and one great-great-grandchild, Cheaney Guilliams and several nieces and nephews. Private Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, December 2nd at High Prairie Cemetery in Elmo, Missouri under the care of Price Funeral Home. Friends may pay respects on Tuesday December 1st from 12 noon until 5pm at the funeral home.
