Maria Carmen Valdez nació el 25 de Septiembre de 1937 en Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, hija de Pilar Garcia y Alta Gracia Martinez.  Entró a la presencia del señor el 28 de Noviembre 2020, a la edad de 83 años, rodeada de sus hijos, nietos, y seres queridos.

En Mayo 24 de 1952 se casó con Francisco Valdez, juntos tuvieron 9 hijos. Maria se dedicó a ser ama de casa y cuidaba de sus hijos cuando vivía en México.  En las tardes Maria lavaba y planchaba ropa para un grupo musical de Sabinas.  En 1980 emigró a los Estados Unidos junto con sus hijos menores para reunirse con su esposo y sus hijos Javier y Maria.  Aquí en Estados Unidos también se dedicó a cuidar de sus hijos.  En 1996 al fallecer su esposo, Maria quedó a cargo y fue la torre fuerte de su familia.  Tuvo que trabajar para sacar a sus hijos adelante.  En el 2001 decidió dejar su trabajo y se dedicó a cuidar de sus nietos.  Ella amaba a sus nietos y sus nietos a ella.  Fue una abuelita muy consentidora y tenía un amor especial hacia cada uno de sus nietos.  Su familia siempre fue su prioridad y disfrutaba pasar tiempo con todos.  Solía siempre levantarse temprano; limpiaba su casa, regaba sus plantas, y estaba lista para recibir a sus hijos y nietos con unas deliciosas tortillas de harina y rico café.

Maria era una persona muy trabajadora y amable, le abría su casa a cualquiera que la necesitara, daba sabios consejos, y le extendió la mano a cualquiera sin pensarlo. Será estrenada profundamente por toda su familia, amigos, y conocidos.

Maria Carmen Valdez was born in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon on September 25, 1937, to Pilar Garcia and Alta Gracia Martinez.  Surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and loved ones, Maria transitioned to eternity with her Lord and Savior on November 28,2020, at the age of 83 years. 

On May 24, 1952, Maria married Francisco Valdez.  Together, they had nine children.  Maria was a dedicated housewife when she lived in Mexico.  In the afternoons, Maria would wash and iron clothes for a musical group from Sabinas.  In 1980, she migrated to the United States with her small children to  meet with her husband, son Javier, and daughter Maria.  Here in the United States, Maria also was a dedicated housewife.  In 1996, Maria lost her husband and had to work to make ends meet for her and her children.  In 2001, Maria decided that she would stop working to care for her grandchildren.  She loved her grandchildren, and her grandchildren loved her.  She loved to spoil them, and she had a special love for each of her grandchildren.  Her family was always her priority, and she loved spending time with them.  She would get up early every morning, clean her house, water her plants, and greet her children and grandchildren with her delicious flour tortillas and coffee. 

Maria was a hard working woman and was very compassionate, her house was always open to whoever was in need for a place to stay.  She would always give wise advice, and she extended a helping hand to anyone in need without hesitation.  Maria will be profoundly missed by all her family and friends.

She is survived by her:

Grandchildren - Ludivina, Lalo, Rosa Maria, Yesenia, Ivete, Alexandra, Kaylin, Jackie, Haylie, Leslie, Alan, Rene, Ivette, Crystal, Abimael, Brandon, Tristan, Jaime, Lexxi, Hector, Sophia, Hazel, Briana, Addie, David Jr., and Lucia

Great-grandchildren - Stacy, Ivan, Ashley, Sherlyn, Monse, Adelita, Sofia, Lilah, Norah, Lennox, Gigi, Sebastian, Bella, Alliyah, and Addison 

Great-great-grandchildren - Naithan, Ethan, and Leanette

Siblings - Margarita, Gloria, Francisca, and Jaime

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco; son, Javier; daughter, Lupina; son, Alejandro; and her parents.
