Rev. J. Michael Bragg, 77, retired pastor, of Sharon Township in Medina passed away on Friday, November 27th, 2020 after a short illness. He was born in Milledgeville, GA, March 26, 1943 to the late John Thomas and Myranelle (Haney) Bragg. Mike grew up in Chattanooga, TN where he graduated from Central High School and Tennessee Temple University. He received his Master of Theology degree from Clarksville School of Theology. Mike was a pastor in Alabama, North Carolina and Ohio for 40 years and was currently a member at Freedom Baptist Church in Medina. Mike still occasionally preached at different churches in the area and often played the piano at Freedom Baptist. He was a member of the Rotary Club in Canton, OH for many years where he served as President for two years. Mike loved football and was an avid Massillon, Tiger fan. He is survived by his wife, Jeanann (Wann) Bragg whom he married on January 26th, 1964; son, John Michael Bragg II of Gastonia, NC; daughters, Tanja Stanfield of Massillon and Paige (Mike) Donahoe of Medina; 11 grandchildren, Hailey, Macy, Reese, Kaylee, Janelle, Bethany, Michael, Noah, Ashley, Samantha, and Alan; 2 great- grandchildren, Brady and Leo; brother, Alan (Teresa) Bragg of Apison, TN and sister, Cris (Doug) Forrester of Rossville, GA. Calling hours will be Saturday, December 5th from 12:00 - 1:30pm at Freedom Baptist Church, 2161 Fixler Rd., Medina, Ohio.
