<p>Mark Robert Shanahan (1966 - 2020)&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Mark Robert Shanahan, age 54 of McKees Rocks, PA passed away suddenly at home with his beloved companion Diva at his side on November 27, 2020.&nbsp;Born on February 18, 1966 in Buffalo, NY, Mark was the son of Robert B.&nbsp; Shanahan and the late Janet (Mulholland) Shanahan. Mark is survived by his wife, Debra (Debbie) Jokola Shanahan of New Stanton, PA. Beloved brother to Maureen (Michael) DeRose, Timothy B. (Karen) Shanahan, Karin (Bruce) Halpern, Molly (Tom) Healy,&nbsp; Colleen (Dr. Richard) Collins, and Ellen (Scott) Shanahan Becker. &nbsp; Also survived by two brothers-in- law Don (Louise) Jokola of Norvelt, PA and Wes (Lisa) Jokola of New Stanton, PA. and 18 nieces and nephews, two great-nieces and three great-nephews.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Mark was raised in Kenmore New York and Cedar Bay, Ontario. He graduated from St. John the Baptist R.C. School, and Kenmore West High School. He attended Niagara University and then moved to Pennsylvania for his career as a car salesmen. He held positions at Arnold Palmer Cadillac in Latrobe, Victory Chevrolet in Jeanette, and Speney Chevrolet in West Newton and prided himself on having his name on Top Salesman plaques at each of these. His passion for helping customers led to meeting his dearest wife Debbie at Victory Chevrolet showroom in 1996. They spent the next 24 years&nbsp; together, celebrating their wedding on August 23, 2003, surrounded by friends and family.&nbsp; &nbsp; Debbie and Mark cared for many adored pets, including the kitten he rescued from a West Newton riverbank while walking his faithful dog Tiffany.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>In lieu of flowers the family would like to honor Mark&rsquo;s devotion to his pets and all animals. Please consider sending a donation to a small private rescue run by a couple that has known Mark and Debbie for many years, &nbsp;The Puppy Connection, Inc. Mark Robert Shanahan, age 54 of McKees Rocks, PA passed away suddenly at home with his beloved companion Diva at his side on November 27, 2020. Born on February 18, 1966 in Buffalo, NY, Mark was the son of Robert B.  Shanahan and the late Janet (Mulholland) Shanahan.
