Mary E. Wurst

Mary E. Wurst, age 87 years, of Lebanon, NJ, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020 in the Lutheran Home, Topton, PA. Born in Hampton, NJ, August 9, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Robert and May Mills Wurst. Mary had resided in Hunterdon County most of her life and was a 1951 graduate of Flemington High School. Ms. Wurst was employed by Exxon Research and Engineering Company for thirty-five years in Linden and Florham Park. Before retiring in 1986, she was the Foreign Patent Specialist in the Law Department. She was a member of Darcy Chapter No. 138 Order of the Eastern Star and Victory Chapter No. 96. Mary supported many charities including Charitable Gift Annuities for the American Cancer Society, Children’s Specialized Hospital, Deborah Hospital, the Peale Center for Christian Living, Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation, The Seeing Eye, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Shriners Children’s Hospital, and the Make A Wish Foundation. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your favorite charity in memory of Mary. She was predeceased by a sister Jane and brother Archie. Surviving are her nephew, Robert Wurst, her nephew Gary Wurst, and her niece Carol Jo Sipley, and several grand nieces and nephews. Funeral services and interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
