<p style="text-align: justify;">Eileen Solberg, 88, passed away on November 27, 2020 at St. Vincent Care Center in Bismarck in the company of her son, Alan and sister, Stella.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Mandan.&nbsp; Burial will follow at Mandan Union Cemetery.&nbsp; The family requests masks be worn at the church.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><em><strong>A livestream of the funeral service will be available on the Redeemer Lutheran Church website (redeemermandan.com).</strong></em></p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Visitation will be held from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan.&nbsp;&nbsp;Masks are required at the funeral home.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Eileen was born March 13, 1932 in Judson, ND to Carl &amp; Ella (Joersz) Westmeyer.&nbsp; On May 12, 1957 she married Jackson Solberg in Mandan and together they raised four children.&nbsp; Eileen worked on the family farm, at Ohm&rsquo;s Caf&eacute;, and Medcenter One Mandan as a cook.&nbsp; She was very involved in her church, serving in many Ladies Society activities and in the church choir.&nbsp; Eileen volunteered at numerous places, including RSVP, Meals on Wheels, National Resources and Conservation Services, and the Railroad Museum to name a few.&nbsp; She enjoyed bowling, gardening, and playing cards and dice games.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Eileen is survived by two sons, Alan (Darla) Solberg of Bismarck and Terry (fianc&eacute;e, Tammy Keel) of Joelton, TN; one sister, Stella Westmeyer of Mandan;&nbsp; sister-in-law, Connie Westmeyer of Minot; four granddaughters, Lacey Roberts of Mandan, Tana Solberg of Bismarck, Kelsey Solberg of Mandan, and India Edwards of Lewisburg, TN; and three great grandchildren, Hudson, Hanley, &amp; Greyson Roberts.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 32 years, Jackson Solberg; one son, Jeff Solberg; one daughter, Carla Mitchell; three brothers, Harold (Toots) Westmeyer, Ray Westmeyer, &amp; Bill Westmeyer; four sisters, Lorraine Westmeyer, Bernice Peterson, Dorothy (Manuel) Bettencourt, &amp; Florence (John) Beard.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The family of Eileen Solberg would like to extend a special thank you to the St. Vincent Care Center staff for their excellent care and concern for Eileen while she was a resident.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;</p>

Obituary

Eileen Solberg, 88, passed away on November 27, 2020 at St. Vincent Care Center in Bismarck in the company of her son, Alan and sister, Stella.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Mandan.  Burial will follow at Mandan Union Cemetery.  The family requests masks be worn at the church.
