Ulysses- Betty F. Alexander, 90, died on Thursday November 26, 2020 at Homestead Assisted Living in Garden City. She was born on July 26, 1930 at LaJunta, Colorado the daughter of Oscar D. & Virginia F. (Jones) Avara. She married Arlin G. Alexander on August 6, 1950. He died on December 25, 2010. Betty grew up on a ranch southwest of LaJunta and graduated from LaJunta High School. She then graduated from Brown Business College in LaJunta. After her marriage she moved to the family farm in Grant County. She was a member of the Pleasant Prairie Church of God in Haskell County. She is survived by her Children- Nancy Ferris of Hutchinson, Becky Sanders of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Debbie Hartsell of Summerville, South Carolina, Gina Timmons of Sunray, Texas & Larry Alexander of Lakin, Foster Son- David Irvin of Ulysses, 18 Grandchildren- Michelle Spexarth, Erik Swenson, Joshua Alexander, James Alexander, Lydia Loyd, Jeremy Alexander, Jan Alexander-Lee, Chris Alexander, Chad Alexander, Craig Alexander, Carrie McCauley, Leah Ingram, Jill Musser, Ryan Hartsell, Taylor Hawkins, Tyler Timmons & Travis Timmons, 29 Great-Grandchildren- Cole Swenson, Mason Swenson, Paul Spexarth, Jorge Spexarth, Maggie Spexarth, Bella Spexarth, Eddie Spexarth, Caleb Loyd, Titus Loyd Alexander, Jackson Lee, Mason Lee, Natalie Alexander, Lucas Alexander, Carley Alexander, Creyton Alexander, Corbin Alexander, Teagan McCauley, Piper McCauley, Jo Lee McCauley, Ayden Ingram, Levi Ingram, Bella Musser, Emma Musser, Declan Musser, Lexie Musser & Abigail Hawkins, Zion Alexander, Mariah Alexander, Peter Alexander. She is predeceased by her Parents, Husband, 2 Sons- David Alexander and Dale Alexander and Grandson- Brian Alexander, 2 Sisters- Ellen and Doris and Brother- Carl. Funeral Service will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday at Pleasant Prairie Church of God in Haskell County with Steve Cloud officiating. The service will be available to be seen on the Garnand Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery in Garden City. Friends may call from Noon to 8:00 PM Monday at Garnand Funeral Home in Garden City. Memorials are suggested to Pleasant Prairie Church of God in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
