Max Allen Collins

<p>Max A. Collins, age 74, passed to his mansion in Heaven with Jesus Wednesday, November 25, 2020.&nbsp;Max died as a result of Covid-19.&nbsp;&nbsp;Please wear a mask to protect yourself and others.&nbsp;&nbsp;Max was with Quikrete Co. as plant manager for over 30 years, where he made many life-long friendships.&nbsp;&nbsp;He was a Gideon and loved working for the Lord.&nbsp;&nbsp;Max attended Kidwell&rsquo;s Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, where he held many positions.&nbsp;&nbsp;During retirement, he drove bus #60 for the Hamblen County School System transporting children to Manley Elementary and West View Middle Schools.&nbsp;&nbsp;He had a heart for children and loved them and the staff as well.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Helen Collins; grandparents, Rufus and Myrtle Collins; and father and mother-in law, Cordell and Hazel Sloan.</p> <p>Max leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 51 years, Barbara Collins; daughter, Michelle (Jeff) Courtney; grandson, Michael Caleb Collins; brother, Richard Collins; sister, Linda (Don) Merrit; sisters-in-law, Debra (Johnny) Westmorland, Donna (Dale) Hayes; Anita (Tim) Whitt; and several nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Now that Covid-19 restrictions have subsided, a visitation will be held from 1-2 PM, Saturday, April 24 at Kidwells Ridge Baptist Church.&nbsp;&nbsp;A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 PM following the visitation with Reverend Danny Lamb and Josh Carter officiating.&nbsp;</p>

Obituary

Max A.
