Paul Sylvia 74 of North Dartmouth passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020, after a brief illness, at the Royal of Fairhaven. He was the husband of Eleanor (Hayes) Sylvia and son of the late Manuel and Florinda (Fernandes) Sylvia. He was born in New Bedford and had lived in this area all of his life. Paul was employed by the City of New Bedford in the Park Department, for 30 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Survivors include his wife, his son Paul Sylvia Jr. of Martha’s Vineyard, his brother Richard Sylvia of New Hampshire, his step children Christy, Kelly, Jamie, Sharon, Peggy and Frederick. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren. He was the father of the late Joseph W. Sylvia. His visiting hours will be 4-7pm Wednesday, December 2,at the Boulevard Funeral Home 223 Ashley Blvd. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers donations to his family would be appreciated. All attendees are required to wear face coverings and capacity will be limited at the funeral home.
