Elkhart: Irene Matilda Hall, 102, of Lincoln, formerly of Elkhart, passed away at the Christian Nursing Home in Lincoln, IL, at 2:00 P.M. Friday November 27, 2020. Irene was born on October 1, 1918 in Elkhart, IL, to Olander Allen and Teresa F. (Broehl) Greer. She married Lacy L. Hall on April 29, 1940 In Elkhart. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2014 after 74 years of marriage. Surviving are her sons, Alan (Teresa) Hall of Port St. Lucie, FL and Lacy (Sherrie) Hall II of Elkhart, IL. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Amanda Hall, Laura (Jose) Ramos, Sara Hall, Jessica (Sean) Stockman, Jennifer (Todd) Thompson, Megan (J.) Drake and Seth (Rachel) Hall; 13 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Irene played the piano and organ at Elkhart Christian Church for over 50 years and taught school for two years. A celebration of Irene’s life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in Irene’s name to Elkhart Christian Church or Lincoln Christian University. Services have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
