Theresa Marie Pachucki

Theresa Marie Pachucki, 74, of Plains Township, was welcomed home by her Lord on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, while in the care of the Gardens of East Mountain, Plains Township. Born in Scranton on March 7,1946, Theresa was one of twelve children of the late David and Edith Thomas Nenish. Throughout Teresa's childhood, the family lived in Scranton and Pittston. At the age of eleven, Theresa went to work to help support her family in the local dress factories. In the mid 1960’s, Theresa met and married her only love, Ronald Pachucki, together they moved due to Ronald’s job to New Jersey. With love and caring throughout their journey supported by brother-in-law’s Edmund and Eugene Pachucki (1983), the Judd and Gnoza families, Theresa found employment with the Lutheran Home in Hudson county, where she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 24 years. Together Theresa and Ronald proudly raised three sons: Ronald, David, and Adam. After Ronald’s retirement from the teamsters, Ronald and Theresa returned to live happily and quietly in the Wyoming Valley. Theresa was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Church, Plains Township. In her retirement years, Theresa enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Theresa also loved to crochet, read, do crossword puzzle books, baking and cooking for the entire family. She also had a great passion of trains and decorating with her husband especially during the holidays. She loved listening to soft classic country music and watching Yankee games. Theresa was a devoted loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a gentle and caring soul with a heart of gold who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents David and Edith, son Adam, Mother-in-law Josephine, brother and sister in-laws and sadly, many brothers and sisters. Surviving Theresa are her husband Ronald, Plains Township; sons Ronald (Linda), Fayetteville, GA; David (Barbara), New Smithville; grandchildren James, New Smithville; Adam, Paige, and Bonnie, Quakertown, PA; Jason, Matthew, and Meghan, Fayetteville, GA. A Mass of Christian Burial and remembrance of Theresa Marie will be held on Tuesday, December 1, at 10:00 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains. The Rev. John Lambert Pastor will be the celebrant of service. A visitation will be held in church prior to mass starting at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow to peacefully lay Theresa to eternal rest and in the hands of our Lord Jesus Christ in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Plains Township. Arrangements are in the professional and compassionate care of the Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc, Plains Township.
