Ria Paola Salanga Gaspar Obituary

Ria Paola Gaspar was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, girlfriend and friend.  Born on October 19, 1997 in Quezon City, Philippines to Rogelio Gaspar and Patria Salanga.
A loving and compassionate person, Ria loved being silly. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up one’s soul.
She loved traveling and enjoyed taking pictures. She was a gregarious young lady who relished telling stories with family and friends at lengths.
Ria's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile and unassuming ways, her beautiful soul has brought countless joy to her friends and family.
The relationship she had with her brother Rod Philip Gaspar was unlike any other. Ria was a wonderful sister who taught him a lot and she always had his back. Whenever Rod saw her, his whole face would light up and the time would just be lost.
Most of all, she loved and adored her mom. She was her world. Her mom was her hero, she admired her courage, strength, and faith in God.  Ria wanted nothing more for her than to have a wonderful life.  Ria lived her early years through high school graduation in the Philippines.  Her mom had to leave to work in the USA years earlier.  Ria joined her shortly after her 18th birthday.  She arrived in the USA in December of 2015.  Initially, it was very difficult adjusting because most of her friends and family were back home.  As she met and made new friends, it became easier.

During the spring of 2016 she started working for Yafo Kitchen and her life changed.  Although she had met Deanmark Bohol earlier, the families were close, their relationship blossomed.  They became inseparable.  Both loved traveling and visiting new restaurants.  Whenever you saw them you could feel the love between them. They were planning a future together.  They were together when their lives abruptly ended much too soon.  We are all blessed to have had the time that we did with them.

Ria is survived by her loving mom, Tria Shoats, her father, Rogelio Gaspar her sibling, Rod Philip, sister- in-law, Arvic Ortega and niece Austin Phoebe, her step father Leon Shoats, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, many friends.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

We will be offering Live Showing of the Funeral Service for all family and friends who can not be here.
