<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Janet Kay Payne, 68, Nevada, MO passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada. Janet was born April 25, 1952 in Moberly, MO to Lester and Leona (Buhler) Thomas. She was united in marriage to Cecil Payne on November 15, 1974 and he survives of the home.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Janet was born in Moberly and graduated from High School in Pomona, KS with the Class of 1970. She worked throughout her life as a CNA and as an CMA (certified medication aide), mostly in Ottawa, KS. Following her retirement, she moved to Nevada in 2007. Janet enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; In addition to her husband Cecil, she is survived by one son, Scott Payne (Loretta), Ottawa, KS; and one daughter, Debra Franklin (Rusty), Nevada; five grandchildren, Kyle Payne, Nevada, McKayla (Zack) Hastings, Lawrence, KS, Harley Jacobs, Ottawa, KS, Cathy Franklin, Nevada, Alexis Franklin, Nevada; one brother, Robert Thomas (Deborah), Butler, MO; one sister, Marylee Hayworth, AZ; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.</p> <p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A private committal will be in the National Cemetery in Ft.       Janet Kay Payne, 68, Nevada, MO passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada. Janet was born April 25, 1952 in Moberly, MO to Lester and Leona (Buhler) Thomas. She was united in marriage to Cecil Payne on November 15, 1974 and he survives of the home.
