<p>Mavis L. Thorsen, 80, Carrington, ND died early Thursday morning November 26, 2020 in the Golden Acres Manor Care Center in Carrington, ND.</p> <p>Mavis Webb was born May 2, 1940 in Centralia, Washington, the daughter of William Russell Webb and Maude (Turner) Webb.&nbsp; &nbsp;She received her elementary education in Toledo, WA. She then attended college.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Mavis work for the local newspaper as a layout artist in Centralia, WA. She met Karl Bethlen making their home in Gate, WA. They lived there until 2015 when they moved to North Dakota and made her home at Grace City.&nbsp; &nbsp;In October of 2016 she entered Golden Acres Manor where she has continued to reside.</p> <p>Mavis really enjoyed riding and training horses.&nbsp; She also did Oil Painting, which she gave to numerous people.&nbsp; She and Karl enjoyed traveling together.</p> <p>She is survived by her companion of 25 plus years, Karl Bethlen, her daughters, Diane Sue and Cindy Lee and their families; one sister and brother; Melva Binion and Jim Webb.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Hoyt, 1 brother William, Jr. in infancy; her sister Marsha in 2016</p> <p>It was Mavis&rsquo;s wish to be cremated with no services at this time.</p>

Mavis L. Thorsen, 80, Carrington, ND died early Thursday morning November 26, 2020 in the Golden Acres Manor Care Center in Carrington, ND.

Mavis Webb was born May 2, 1940 in Centralia, Washington, the daughter of William Russell Webb and Maude (Turner) Webb.   She received her elementary education in Toledo, WA. She then attended college.  

Mavis work for the local newspaper as a layout artist in Centralia, WA. She met Karl Bethlen making their home in Gate, WA. They lived there until 2015 when they moved to North Dakota and made her home at Grace City.   In October of 2016 she entered Golden Acres Manor where she has continued to reside.

Mavis really enjoyed riding and training horses.  She also did Oil Painting, which she gave to numerous people.  She and Karl enjoyed traveling together.
