<p>Susan Elaine Haley</p> <p>It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Susan Elaine Haley on November 22nd, 2020 at the age of 66 years old from complications related to COVID-19.</p> <p>Susan was born in Deming, New Mexico on October 20th, 1954, to Joe and Betty Peters in her childhood home. She received a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Early Childhood Education from UNM, a Master&rsquo;s degree, and 30 additional hours above her Master&rsquo;s degree, from ENMU.</p> <p>Susan met her husband Darryl in Tucumcari and they fell in love on Valentine&rsquo;s Day in 1979. They would marry in 1981 and go on to raise four kids &ndash; Ryan, Mark, Morgan, and Jodi. She was a devoted Wife, Mother, and Nana and provided endless support and care to her husband and children. She enjoyed riding in the golf cart with Darryl, extension club, her bunko group, dinner with friends, crafting, and traveling to see family. In her earlier years, she enjoyed tennis and bowling, and was very good at both. Susan was the epitome of care and selflessness, and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and the many students she taught during her 35 years as a teacher. Susan loved people and hated conflict. Blessed be the peacemaker.&nbsp;</p> <p>She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of nearly 40 years, Darryl; children, Ryan (fianc&eacute;e Lauren Snyder), Morgan (Tyler Scott), Jodi, and daughter-in-law Dee; grandchildren, Brianna, Chandler, Shaun, Peyton, Sheridan, Ava, Reagan, Greer, Duke, and Kennedy; her Father, Joe Peters; siblings, Don Peters and Connie (John Coffman); cousins, Jane, Judy, Peri Lee, and Shannon; in-laws, Dwight Haley (Debby) and Jane (Bill Willis); Aunt, Doris Thornbro; nephews, Billy Willis, Steven, John Michael Coffman (Tess Amy), Frank Peters (Stephanie), and Philip Coffman (Stephanie); nieces, Heather, Tasha (John Porter), Elsa Peters, Erin (Tim Zinsmeyer), and Emily Coffman, as well as countless other friends, relatives, and coworkers.</p> <p>She was predeceased by her Mother, Betty Peters; son, Mark; and Father and Mother-in-law, Glen and Elizabeth Haley.</p> <p>Memorial services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Grace Community Church with Pastor Rick Hale and Ron Tidmore officiating.</p> <p>In the meantime, the family would appreciate all memories and stories of Susan to be emailed to HaleyMemorial@pm.me.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations can be made to Gateway Christian School via the link below, or by directly contacting the school.</p> <p>gofundme.com/f/susan-haley-memorial-fund</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Gateway Christian School</p> <p>Linda Rapp</p> <p>Financial Secretary</p> <p>lrapp@gatewaychristianschool.us</p> <p>www.gatewaychristianschool.us</p> <p>1900 N. Susan Elaine Haley

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Susan Elaine Haley on November 22nd, 2020 at the age of 66 years old from complications related to COVID-19.

Susan was born in Deming, New Mexico on October 20th, 1954, to Joe and Betty Peters in her childhood home. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from UNM, a Master’s degree, and 30 additional hours above her Master’s degree, from ENMU.
