Phillip David Gyurica, age 93, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Friday, November 27, 2020 at his home. He was born July 11, 1927 in Danby, Missouri, the son of the late Regina (nee Nehaz) and Alex Gyurica. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Peggy Marie (nee Heob) Gyurica; and 3 sisters, and 2 brothers. He is survived by his son James David “Jim” (Jennifer) Gyurica of Festus; daughter Phyllis Branch of Festus; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a former son in law Michael Branch of Pacific, Missouri. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War; a retired glassworker from the former Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. in Crystal City, Missouri; and a member of VFW #3777 in Festus. Private family services with interment in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Public memorial service to be conducted at a later date.
