Eugene "Snuffy" G. Adams Obituary

Eugene "Snuffy" G. Adams, 85, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 25, 2020, in Idaho Falls.

Snuffy was born April 13, 1935, in Stephens City, Virginia, to William Eugene Adams and Lillie Isabelle Graham Adams.  He grew up in Virginia and graduated from Handley High School. He went on to attend The Apprentice School and graduated in 1956, then joined the National Guard.

On May 6, 1972, he married Joan Collard in Idaho Falls.  Together they had one son and two daughters: Scott, Marvann, and Paulette. Eugene and Joan made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Eugene worked as a Quality Control Manager for the Idaho National Laboratory.

He got a lot of enjoyment in golfing at Jefferson Hills Rigby. Snuffy was a neighbor you could count on. He often did snow removal for the cul-de-sac, which earned him the title of "Mayor of the Dickson." After retiring, Snuffy started a woodworking business called "Snuffy's sawdust bin," where he marketed his beautiful creations at exhibitions, especially around Christmastime. He had a kind personality and a gentle soul. He will be sorely missed.

Snuffy is survived by his wife, Joan Adams of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Scott (Marquita) Adams of Texas; daughters, Marvann (Craig) Krause of Canada, and Paulette (Bill) Waterson of Mackay, ID; niece, Carol Jean (Jerry) Kendall of Virginia and their children;  2 grandsons, and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Patricia Lamp.

Services will be held at a later date.
