<p>Sylvia Beatrice Greene was born on July 22, 1939, to Rueben&nbsp;and Oretha (Humphrey) Greene in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She transitioned to eternity with her Lord and Savior on November 26, 2020 in Forney, Texas.</p> <p>​Sylvia graduated high school and went on to work for the State of Illinois as a case worker.&nbsp;She enjoyed spending time with family and&nbsp;friends, and she delighted in taking care of the needs of others.</p> <p>She was often affectionately regarded as &quot;Fruit&quot;, &quot;Sylvee&quot;, &quot;Silver Belle&quot;, &quot;MeMe&quot;, and &quot;Sporty&quot;. &nbsp;Among many hobbies, Sylvia enjoyed singing in the church choir, traveling, and listening to live music.&nbsp;</p> <p>Sylvia had a joyful, compassionate, and humble&nbsp;presence. She will be fondly remembered for her regal, selfless, beautiful, and loving nature and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.&nbsp;</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her parents,&nbsp;Rueben&nbsp;and Oretha (Humphrey) Greene;&nbsp;brothers,&nbsp;Cornell (Bobby) Greene&nbsp;and Willie (Butch) Greene; nephew,&nbsp;Marvin Greene; and aunt,&nbsp;Susie (Doll) Heard. Those left to cherish precious memories include her son, Rueben Todd (LaShawn) Hill; Mary (Willie) Porter; grandchildren: Chambry Hill, Clarke Pittman, Taylor Johnson, Damascus (Rahela) Johnson, and Tiara Johnson; great-grandchildren,&nbsp;Jekyri Earley&nbsp;and Jeshiah McCain; sister,&nbsp;Shirley Fentress Greene; sister-in-law, Priscilla Greene; nieces: Cynthia Miller (Jesse), Jill Gandy, Deborah (Moses) Greene, Erion Greene, Torrie (Marcus) Carter, LaTrisha Greene, Montinque (Scott) Ervin, Shelia &quot;Tonette&quot; Vaughn, Sherral Mitchell, Toya Sain, and Vickey Farrell; nephews: DeWayne (Janice) Farrell, Troy Farrell, Kenny Farrell, Willie Frank ( Sherral) Mitchell, Terrell (Lacey) Sain, William (Punchy) Price, and David Gandy; cousins: Orris Malone, Janis Hayes, Charlene (Rev. Sylvia Beatrice Greene was born on July 22, 1939, to Rueben and Oretha (Humphrey) Greene in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She transitioned to eternity with her Lord and Savior on November 26, 2020 in Forney, Texas.

​Sylvia graduated high school and went on to work for the State of Illinois as a case worker. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and she delighted in taking care of the needs of others.

She was often affectionately regarded as "Fruit", "Sylvee", "Silver Belle", "MeMe", and "Sporty".  Among many hobbies, Sylvia enjoyed singing in the church choir, traveling, and listening to live music. 

Sylvia had a joyful, compassionate, and humble presence. She will be fondly remembered for her regal, selfless, beautiful, and loving nature and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
