Nelson Blandford Sheppard

Nelson Blandford Sheppard Cox’s Cove, NL October 17, 1945 – November 26, 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Nelson Blandford Sheppard announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at the age of 75 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Beulah; sons: Chad (Tina) and Colin (Jennifer); grandchildren: Matthew, Mason, Chelsea and Lucas; brother John (Jack); sister-in-law Marilyn (Norman) Brake; brothers-in-law: Elliott (Norma) White, Kevin (Lucy) White, special brother-in-law Terry Myers; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Edna and Zebedee Sheppard, parents-in-law Loretta and Raymond White, sisters-in-law Winnie White, Verna Myers and Jessie Butt, brothers-in-law Garwin White and Calvin White. Nelson was a wonderful husband and devoted father but his greatest love and pride and joy was his grandchildren. His love for them was so evident in the sparkle in his eye whenever he spoke of them and the love and affection he always showed them. He had a passion for classic cars. He enjoyed many weekends attending car shows admiring his favorite cars. He was a very social man who loved going out and about chatting and sharing a laugh with his friends and family. He could be found often at the local coffee shop doing just that. He will be forever loved and missed by his family. A special thank you to the staff at Western Memorial Regional Hospital for their care over the last several months. Cremation has taken place, a private family visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Cox’s Cove or St. Simon St. Jude Anglican Church, Trout River or a charity of one’s choice.
