On November 23, 2020, Lou was called to forever serenade the heavenly angels and his parents, Hugo and Anna, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his brother, Thomas Giampaolo and his wife Donna, sister Josephine Long and her husband Dan, sister Theresa Palman and her husband Lee, as well as his loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
The simplest pleasures of everyday life in his hometown of Baltimore brought joy to Lou. Before retiring, he taught for decades in the Baltimore City Public School System. He loved to listen to music and perform karaoke, was an avid reader, a dedicated sports and trivia fan, a history buff, and a lover of the arts in general. He will forever be loved and missed.
