William Wesley Hale Sr., of Big Spring, Texas, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at his residence in Big Spring, Texas. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 6 at Myers and Smith Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 7, beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Myers and Smith Funeral home, followed by interment at Mt. Olive cemetery. He was born March 22, 1946 in Griffin, Georgia. He worked as a Pusher for Patterson, Big Dog and Robinson Drilling. He married Barbara Nichols November 27, 1965 in Griffin, Georgia. Shortly after, they moved to Big Spring and have been members of the community for 37 years. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hale; two sons, William Wesley Hale, Jr. and his wife Toma of Big Spring, Ron Hale and his wife Ann of Big Spring; one daughter, Connie Guerra and her husband Alex of Big Spring; two sisters, Francis Fulghum of Stanton, Texas and Brenda Stoneking of Tampa Bay, Florida; nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lois Hale, seven brothers and one sister. Pallbearers will be Kevin Hale, Chris Hale, Little Ron, Travis Garrard, Timothy Garrard, John Burson, Alex Guerra, and Mike DeAx. Arrangements are by Myers &Smith Funeral Home.
