Edward Earl “Ed” Jennings age 67 of Smackover, AR passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at his home in Smackover. Ed was born on February 16, 1953 in El Dorado to the late Lena Blackwell Jennings and Robert Jennings. He was a retired brick mason, having bricked countless homes and buildings over the years. He was a member of Cross Life Church in El Dorado and was an avid Bass Fisherman. Ed loved spending time with his family and was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather, whom will be sorely missed by all. Ed was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Chris Jennings and Eric Jennings; three brothers, James Jennings, Robert “Bob” Jennings and Jerry Jennings. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Barbara Jennings of Smackover, four daughters, Rhonda Thompson of Smackover, Deschane Friday of Norphlet, Regina Bruce and fiancé Trey Young of Kilgore, TX, and Jamie Blackwell of Smackover, two stepsons, Robert Crain of El Dorado, and Chuck Hancock of California, fifteen grandchildren, April Thompson, Chris Thompson, Justin Thompson, Eric Williams, Deshawna Lancaster, Aaron Bruce and wife Megan, Hailey Riddell and husband Thomas, Hunter Blackwell, Eric Jennings, Connor Jennings, Alissa Jennings, Natalie Jennings, Drake Payne, Madison Hancock and Levi Crain; nine great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by funeral services at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chester Passmore and Bro. Matt Wolfskill officiating.
