Alyssa Anne Muscarella Obituary

Alyssa Anne Muscarella, 33, of Utica and formerly of Rome, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 peacefully at home. She was born in Rome, NY, on November 5, 1987, daughter of the late Philip and Maryjane Lamachia Muscarella. Alyssa graduated from Rome Free Academy. Alyssa had one of the biggest hearts and was friends with anyone she met. She was passionate about working with individuals with disabilities and especially children. She shared this passion with her mother who also worked in the same field. They were the best of friends. Describing her as kind, was an understatement. She loved spending time with her friends and fiancé Jonathan, the color purple, the show Friends, and anything with owls. Music was an incredibly big part of her life. She loved all kinds of music and enjoyed singing. She spent much of her time during her childhood singing with her sister, Kate, in church and was always apart of chorus in school. She shared a loved of the Yankees with her father and spent many hours watching games with him, helping him as he coached his traveling softball team in Rome, Extreme, and she played on various teams herself. The most prestigious being the front lawn, with a whiffle ball, of wherever her family was. Survived by her fiancé, Jonathan Bishop, Utica, a sister, Kate Muscarella, and her fiancé, Darcy DeMaria, of Averill Park, NY, a niece, Miranda Payne, FL, her aunt and uncle, Joseph and Lorraine Lamachia, NJ, and several friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Philip and Maryjane, and sister, Beth Robinson Payne. She will be missed. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at 2 P.M., at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd., Rome. Anyone wishing to attend is required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
