Marc Luther Beeman

It is with heavy hearts that we share that Marc Luther Beeman (66) passed away in his sleep, peacefully at home on Monday, November 23, 2020. The man who miraculously defied all medical odds, finally encountered a battle that was not his to win. He was an amazing Dad, friend, coach, and Papa. His family and friends are forever grateful for all the years they had with him after his aortic dissection. His greatest joys were being able to walk all three of his girls down the aisle, meet all of his beautiful grandchildren, and watch his three beloved daughters grow and flourish with their own families.

Marc was born in Detroit, Michigan to Thomas and Esther, on April 3, 1954. He spent his childhood years as both a Michigan and Minnesota resident, graduating from Duluth East High School in 1972. After graduation he began his career in real estate which he did passionately for more than 30 years along with his life-long entrepreneurial adventures.

He spent time traveling, golfing, taking pictures, wood working, and cooking. He enjoyed working on and with computers, and thoroughly enjoyed teaching computer classes for many years at Lake Superior College. Most importantly he loved coaching his daughters’ teams, watching them play soccer and hockey, and in recent years getting to spend time watching his grandkids do their sports and activities.

Marc is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Travis) Zipf, Katie (Chuck) Erickson, Megan (Eric) Johnson; grandchildren, Aiden and Paxton Zipf, Sydney and Adrienne Erickson, Kayly Beeman, McKenna and Ashlyn Johnson; siblings, Wendy (Steve) Bonnar, Nick (Linda) Beeman, Dan (Pam) Beeman; friends, Tom and Kathy Sullivan; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family would like to thank the friends that remained by Marc’s side over the years, your calls, lunches, and outings truly meant the world to him. They are eternally grateful to the many (many) caregivers that took care of Marc over the years and put up with his never ending sass and were subjected to his witty banter on a daily basis!

Services will be postponed, the family will host a celebration of life when it is safe.
